How to further the message of TTL

Amelius Publishing House Discussion Board: Toward the Light: How to further the message of TTL
By Esther-Maria Rest on Sunday, August 04, 2002 - 06:50 am:

Greetings everyone,
This is about many things, on the best way to spread the message of TTL without imposing on anyone, but without being too non-active and, as a request from a dear friend of mine, how one can help financially.
Is there a fund somewhere that uses donations to for example get TTL circulating in public libraries, pay for translations etc.? I have noticed to my sadness that even in a big city like Boston you can not find TTL in the library. I do know that there are many people who frequent the library, browsing and reading all day long and apparently some have stumbled apon TTL in the library and it has changed their lifes. If I had money I would buy a few hundred and distribute them, but this is not possible at this time.
So, if one is writing a will and would like to leave their possesions to further TTL in the best possible way, where would this be?
I know this is a sensitive issue, but any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

Hello Esther,
I know they wont say it but may I offer a small suggestion? The Amelius Publishing House is active in having TTL translated into several languages and I know that this work is not an easy one, nor is Amelius 'flush' with the funds to do what they wish.

It is my feeling that the slow progress of the truth is exactly what was intended and the translation to other languages - especially languages of cultures mired in oppressive religous dogma - is a great work and one that was taken on by Amelius without thought of financial reward.

Although I wont be adding comments to this board much anymore, I feel your request is one that is worthy of an answer so I offer this small suggestion for your consideration.

To your left you will see links - contact and administration - that should place you in contact with the principles of Amelius for more private discussion.

Love,
Colin

Thanks, Colin, I will certainly do so. Why won't you post much anymore? I have always read your comments with much interest, I would love to participate more myself, but time does not permit me to do so. Hope it is good things...
All the best,
Esther-Maria

Hello Esther,

I am glad that my suggestion found favor with you as I really do appreciate what Amelius Publishing has done and is doing - and doing so without striving for self-gratification or any form of personal recognition.

So many cultures at present do not have access to the truth, and it is only through the commitment of organizations - and people - such as those at Amelius - who are striving more to spread the knowledge of the Truth through the translation into languages other then what can be viewed as the 'main' ones - that the truth will truly spread worldwide.

While it is true that approx 400 Million people have English as their first language, there are billions who only have a minor understanding of English and even more who have no understanding.

Many who have some knowledge of English as a second language find many of the concepts explained in the Books very confusing as they do not have the same cultural frames of reference of Europeans to fall back on so as to glean the meanings or even the comparisons put forth in the Books.

I for example have been living in Asia for over 14 years and although I often discuss TTL with some of my friends and have tried to speak to them in their own language about the Truth (I can speak Chinese - the main language of the nation but not the local Cantonese dialect as is spoken in Hong Kong) - fairly well, but I can see from their eyes that there is little correlation from the teachings in their own cultures for them to grasp onto. Of course I would never proselytize as the offensive purveyors of 'western' religions do, but I try to discuss things as they come up and most often receive a good-natured nod of the head in mock understanding.

Oddly enough, the existing religious companies throughout Asia - while of course deficient in the Truth as are all religions, and as mired in darkness as is so-called christianity - do have more in common with many revelations found in the Books than do the more powerful 'western' cults.

Things such as life after death, reincarnation, making good in a future life for personal failures in the present one - all foreign to the majority of 'western' cults - are understood - if slightly 'warped' when one uses TTL as the benchmark - in the religious cults of the 'East'.

I feel that there is a potential for an easier acceptance of the explanations given us in the Books in the "East" than in the "West" but it cannot happen without those willing to undertake such a difficult task.

I also think that this will itself be an indication of the approach of a more global understanding of the Truths - full translation into the languages spoken and understood by the majority of humans on our planet such as Chinese, Cantonese, Hindi, Tagalog, Arabic etc., - and this can only be done by people and organizations like Amelius who are willing to invest love and time in such work.

I am very happy I was able to assist you in at least exploring this possibility. I will be looking for your comments - when you are not so busy.

Love,
Colin
